An Early 4th of July

05 Jul

My mom came Monday night to visit me for the week, hence my absence. I can never get enough of her, although sometimes she can be a pain in the booty. Apparently the cat has no objections to her presence.I decided to take her Tuesday morning for a jog. She is doing a clean eating week while she is here because she wants to look extra hott for her European cruise next week. She has to play by my clean eating rules and also do the workouts I set up. I think she’s going to not enjoy it.After a nice and sweaty jog, we walked around downtown Gloucester for a bit and chatted. Look at this funny thing we spotted. This is so not me, but definitely applies to my mom. Once we got home, we showered up and ate lunch. We then headed to Ravenswood Park. It was so beautiful and reminded me of Orchard Beach. The only difference here was I got bit by a million mosquitos. Don’t let the smiles fool you, it was not cool at all. Then it was pretty much off to roam the streets of Gloucester and act silly. Oh, can’t forget the parade happening either! It was then off to dinner. We ate at the Franklin Cafe. I just had to take her, that burger was just too good.A 4th of July fun day is not complete with out fireworks! Here we are by Gloucester Harbor. Good Times.Question: How did you celebrate America’s birthday this year?
