Good times and good food, just go hand in hand. For breakfast today, I had french toast with cashew butter, coconut and fresh raspberries. We had went to Boston Saturday afternoon and they have a super cheap farmer’s market.
I got raspberries (2 for $3.00) and blueberries (2 for $1.50). I reserved some for today’s breakfast and froze the rest. I love, love LOVE raspberries and blueberries and for $3.00? That requires an extra love.
Before Boston, we stopped in Salem for some froyo. They have a new froyo shop called Orange Leaf, which is self-served aka my absolute favorite! I got coconut and vanilla froyo with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate and caramel fudge.
We walked around Boston and just enjoyed the sights. I always get giddy when I go to the city since I rarely go. Boston is just really pretty. I think I might light it more then New York City (Shh!).
Post Boston (can you tell this post is everywhere?), we went to Ninety-Nine restaurant. I had never gone there before and wasn’t sure what to expect. They actually give you popcorn for “appetizer,” which was pretty random. They also have an add a soup or salad and dessert for $3.49 extra with your meal.
The theme in the restaurant was pretty cute too. They had 99 reasons around the wall as to why you should go there. I thought that was pretty random too. For dinner, I ended up having a bruschetta chicken with broccoli and a rice pilaf.
It was really delicious to my surprise. I didn’t go for dessert (I had mousse waiting at home) but my mom and grandmama got these petite treats. One was a chocolate milkshake cake and the other was a canoli chip.
Time to head for the NY soon to go take care of doctor appointments for my shoulder. Yes, it’s still being a pain, but I’m trying my best to give it strength. Wish me luck and happy Sunday!
