Since I haven’t been eating too many bananas, my stomach has been pretty happy. The other day I had a ripe banana after breakfast and my stomach went in a putried whirlwind. I though, okay maybe it was too ripe? The next day I had a semi-ripe one and it still bothered me. What the heck?
I did a little research online and found other people who had similar issues. I know that my body can’t tolerate raw veggies very well (hence why I cook them and don’t have salads) but fruits too? I read about people having similar issues with apples due to all the pesticdes (which is why I try to get organic or local ones), but a banana is covered, so whats the deal?
Did you know there is a banana intolerance and allergy? Not that I’m saying I have that, but I am now noticing I do get very gassy and bloated after eating one (since I’ve pretty much cut them out). I’ve even tried eating a banana alone without other foods first thing in the morning and I still get bloated. When I made my banana pancakes for breakfast, my tummy was happy. Mixed with almond butter and cooked to perfection. Yum.Perhaps I can’t tolerate raw fruits either? Pretty much this whole week I have been experiementing with this. For fruits, I ate (all convential) red/ green grapes, gala apples, pears and bananas. The only one that didn’t bother me was the pears, but the rest all made me gassy, bloated and icky.
Question: I was wondering if any of you encounter the same issue with raw versus cooked produce. Or am I the only weirdo here? *Hope not!*
