Massachusetts Day-Venture (Part Two)

I love Salem to pieces. Many of ya’ll know that.20130518_122217I love the goodies I find. Like a cafe au lait chocolate from Maria’s Sweet Somethings.20130518_121541Or some pumpkin pie soda from Pamplemousse.20130518_122608Or grabbing some K-Cups from Wicked Cup.20130518_115924Or just some good ole New England Coffee.20130518_090714And close, by not so, in Peabody there is a Brazilian restaurant called Heaven’s Taste. I love, love, love Brazilian Food. I could live off of it. True Story.20130518_132127I have a lot of new things that are about to happen, but I can’t share them just yet. Let’s just say it’s going to be awesome. I off to study and I hope ya’ll have a fabulous Monday!

Question: What little goodies do you look for in your favorite or a new town? Ice cream, chocolate and post cards are always at the top of my list. Yes, post cards.

Massachusetts Day-Venture (Part One)

You know me; a spontaneous being always doing something random. Oh, hi there. Like my new dress?20130518_101745-1Well I went to Massachusetts yesterday at 6:45am.20130518_080335My friend invited me to an Alkaline Trio and Bayside concert at the House of Blues in Boston. 20130518_180603I killed two birds with one stone; went to Boston, ate, and went to a House of Blues. 20130518_180736Okay, so that’s three birds. My bad. I guess the dranks got to me.20130518_170526The first band Off With Their Heads was pretty awesome. I loved Bayside though the most.20130518_185227Alkaline Trio was the main band. They kicked some rock hard ass! Hmm, don’t think that sounds appropriate.20130518_213138I am off the work. I was up for 23 hours as I drove back at like midnight. Now I am off to work til 7:00pm. At least I get a break tomorrow, but I must study. Part two of Salem, MA tomorrow!

Question: Name something spontaneous you’ve done… and go!

The Catamount State

It’s Friday! Where did this week go?

Oh yeah… I’ve been all over the North. From Upstate New York to Vermont. It was quite a nice adventure. I’m a true New Englander at heart and being in New York City now isn’t going to change that. I started yesterday morning with some oats, raisins, milk and a chopped up pear.IMG_20130328_085442Not to mention some deliciously awesome french toast Green Mountain coffee. I may or may not have had something better then Green Mountain coffee; Toffee Nut latte from Starbucks. I think we are going to have a major problem, it’s latte-gasmic.After breakfast, we walked around my alma mater and we passed by the class gift of 2007. A fish tank. Don’t ask. But isn’t this sea urchin cool?I met up with one of my old friends and I was given this delicious gift! Pure Vermont maple syrup. I’m a sucker for anything with maple.IMG_20130328_073954Speaking of maple, I had some maple soda with my lunch from the Healthy Living Market in Vermont. It didn’t taste like maple but it was pretty good. The night before we went to Vermont Pub and Brewery. I had their Angus burger with smoked cheddar, fries and lettuce. Nothing but good, simple and delicious.IMG_20130327_193940My mom may or may not have had some fun with trying out some beers. I tried their Raspberry stout, but I didn’t really like it. I’ll stick to my raspberry lambic thank you.IMG_20130327_192652After dinner (that’s when I got coffee too), my mom wanted some Ben & Jerry’s. Most of their flavors have corn and my favorites have wheat. So I opted to watch her enjoy it, ha. It’s okay, the coffee sufficed. IMG_20130328_202256But last night I had a gluten-free cupcake from the Healthy living market.. pretty good! Now I am back in New York, missing my New England! This was my “exhausted beyond belief look” of last night.IMG_20130328_214646Question: What’s everyone up to for this weekend? Got a favorite place that you’d love to live it? After my life is a bit more settled, New England is definitely on my top list.

WIAW #43: Northern Adventure

Happy WIAW :)

I’ve been in five different states in the past few days. It’s been an awesome little adventure with my mom. This WIAW, is all the random eats from my little adventure and some from home as well. Got to start somewhere right? And please check out Peas and Crayons aka the home of WIAW!WIAW GOES GREENBefore we hit the road one of the days, breakfast was these oats, but I topped it with pecans and pure maple syrup. Somewhere are the raisins. Ya just have to look very closely.IMG_20130323_105820One of my go to snacks on the road was almonds and string cheese. Quick and simple. One of the lunches I had was Ponderosa and I had chicken, mash potatoes, and salad.IMG_20130325_121749 Of course, some froyo action. A mix of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and butter pecan froyo with agave drizzle, roasted almonds and kiwi.BGUtLK1CQAAONPAMy favorite meal though was this Brazilian deliciousness; rice, beans, bean stuffing (made with tapioca flour), plantains, green beans and salad. So, so good!63058_10101533482824990_143665351_nFor dessert, I failed to take a picture of the chocolate. But it was chocolate, that’s all you need to know. A few Godiva truffles made their way into my tummy. Now.. on my way to Vermont!

Question: What’s green from your WIAW? I’m impressed that mines is green. I did good… for once!

Happy Monday my friends!
483677_10101532288124180_1764896250_n I am here in Oswego and it is gorgeous.425947_10101532288174080_1159776204_nI’m about to head to the gym soon here. No excuses!IMG_20130323_110039-1Yesterday, my mom and I dropped my brother off at college.IMG_20130324_151956 Before though, we went to Ruby Tuesday’s and ate. I tried spaghetti squash for the first time and it was not to shabby. Though it needed a little flavor.IMG_20130324_161105Then we shopped around and dropped him off. Good luck Yuyu with the rest of the semester. Thank’s his nickname, by the way. Before the hotel we stopped by Fort Ontario, but it was closed.1886_10101532288243940_67195626_nWe also stopped and watched a bit of the sunset. Doesn’t get any better then this.IMG_20130324_193022Question: How was your weekend? Anyone on spring break this week?

Enjoying Puerto Rico’s Beauty

My Puerto Rico vacation is going quite well. I’ve been a little sick, but when isn’t that my life? I actually went to the ER my second night here. I am much better thank you. DSCF1061I’ve been taking long walks in the morning with my uncle who is an army veteran. DSCF1057So you know we are out in the hot sun getting our sweat on and he even hooked me up (and my mom) with some new workout gear.IMG_20130307_212132I definitely need to be working out because there has been a ton of goodies. Like flan.IMG_20130309_202808We also went to the beach, naturally.IMG_20130310_142657The water was a bit rough. Probably from the snow storm this past week.
IMG_20130309_161202Bliss.IMG_20130309_172422Question: Exercise on vacation: Yay or nay? To be honest it depends whom I am with. No reason as to why. I’m just weird like that.

The Puerto Rico Beginnings

I was all ready to go at 3:00am! Not a fun time time wake up considering I only slept two hours. No bueno.
imageMy dad so kindly bought me coffee while I waited on the long line to check in.
imageI went to find some breakfast and they had this awesome buffet. Yay for still being able to have my favorite breakfast!
image
The fight was not bad. It was 3 hours total and I slept for one of those then watched “Playing for Keeps.” Before I knew it, I was here!
image
My grandparents picked me up and took me to get some “Chinese” Icecream.
image
I don’t know if it is persay buy doesn’t matter. It’s delicious. I may have have also had coconut icecream. If you know me, I am a coconut freak in the summer. Not to mention it’s 80+ degrees.
image
Lastly we went to the supermarket and I got some food to make turkey burgers and Brussels sprouts. Oh, we spotted this guy on the way back.

Question: How is everyone? I missed the WIAW party. I know I suck but I’m going to check out yours :)

A Walk Through The [Stage Fort] Park

Sunday = Active, Active, Active! I decided to do another Stage Fort Park trip.

Instead of a jog, I did a little walking. Before I came here I actually went to the gym for an hour after the hike I went to do yoga too. Why don’t we let the pictures speak for themselves, shall we?IMG_20130106_142041IMG_20130106_142049

Happy Christmas Eve <3

Before going to the Emergency Room with my mom, I had a delicious waffle made from a buckwheat flour mix, which you will see this flour for this fun finds Friday, so stay tuned.IMG_20121223_095922I had a lot of pain on the left side of my body under my ribs, It was not fun and it’s been going on for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can figure out what’s wrong soon; I had numerous tests done.15673_10101456943675060_386716433_nMy family. They are a little crazy, a little corky. But they are my family. I had a lot of fun with them. We went to see the tree down at Rockefeller Center in the city. Elmo and cookie monster?IMG_20121223_182029My parents are just too cute.IMG_20121223_181547Aww, look at me and my little brother. It’s crazy to think he’s going to be 19 next year. Almost 20! Gee, it just makes me feel old sometimes.IMG_20121223_181736They always have this display that lights up, I honestly don’t remember where or what it is. It’s near the tree. A few years ago, they had a snowflake display which was cute. This year it was computer graphics with a cute yeti and ice skaters.IMG_20121223_183521Question: How are you spending your Christmas Eve, if you celebrate it? I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and enjoys time with their loved ones!
